HITECH Answers offers a webinar called The Current and Future State of Interoperability, A Panel Discussion with Industry Thought Leaders on Oct. 22 at noon. On this complimentary webinar, five industry leaders share their thoughts and ideas on the current state of health information exchange and how the industry can move towards achieving true Interoperability. UnitedHealthcare released it’s October 2015 bulletin, their monthly publication for participating providers – that includes timely news about procedure, program and policy updates and changes, as well as other important administrative and clinical information. In this issue they discuss Link, which they call a new gateway to UHC’s online tools, the UnitedHealth Premium Designation Program, and ICD-10.
RT Weller and Associates released a story called, Post-Implementation Challenges, Exploring ICD-10.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services released its Medicare Part B Iniative Employer Blog last month. The hope is this blog will help you enroll your employees in Medicare.
Providers’ Clinical Support System for Medication Assisted Treatment (PCSS-MAT) offers a webinar at noon on Oct. 15 called Hep C and HIV Opioid Use Disorder. The webinar hopes to show how a strong foundation in understanding HCV and HIV prevention and treatment strategies is important for all providers treating individuals with opioid use disorder.
PCSS-MAT also offers a webinar called The Office-Based Treatment for Opioid Use Disorders, The “Half-and-Half,” Course Webinar. This webinar training, in conjunction with a 3.75 hour online study and exam, will provide the required 8 hours needed to obtain the waiver to prescribe buprenorphine in the office-based setting. It is available three different times over the next month, including Oct. 10 at 6 a.m. Mountain Time; Oct. 28 at 3:30 p.m. or Nov. 14 at 6 a.m. There is no registration fee.
The Philadelphia Regional Office of CMS offers a 2014 Supplemental QRUR Physician Feedback Program Call, Thursday, Oct. 15 from 1:30-3 p.m. This MLN Connects National Provider Call will provide an overview of the 2014 Supplemental Quality and Resource Use Reports (QRURs); confidential feedback reports for medical group practices and solo practices on resource utilization for Fee-For-Service episodes of care.
