2018 Legislative Session

The 64th Wyoming State Legislature convened for the 2018 Budget Session Monday, February 12th, kicking off a 20-day session. The Wyoming capitol remains under construction for renovations, meaning that the Wyoming Medical Society will again be spending its Legislature time at the Jonah Business Center advocating for Wyoming physicians, physician assistants and their patients.

The primary purpose of the budget session is for the legislature to fund state government for the upcoming biennium. In addition to the government appropriations bill, lawmakers proposed over 300 other bills unrelated to the budget. WMS is passionate about keeping our members informed of the changing dynamics in state policy that impact medicine and our members’ ability to care for their patients.
