The Vice President shall stand for the President in his absence or disability as well as serve on the Strategic Planning Committee and chair the Bylaws Committee when convened by the President.

The following individuals are seeking election to the office of WMS Secretary/Treasurer for the 2024-2025 term beginning July 1, 2024. The Sec/Treasurer shall be responsible for the minutes and custodian of all records, books and papers belonging to WMS. He/She shall also supervise the finances, pay all authorized obligations, and chair the Budget/Finance Committee among other duties.

WMS Bylaws and Elections

WMS Bylaws Section 2.1 Subsection C. dictates that all elected officers, Open Trustee, Retired Physician Trustee and Trustees-at-Large be elected by an open voting process from the membership. The office of Immediate Past President is not an elective office and does not require nomination and shall not be included on the election ballot. The Immediate Past President position is automatically filled by the President upon completion of his/her term of office. All members eligible to vote shall receive a ballot, distributed within a period of not more than twenty days after the final slate of candidates has been determined. Valid returns must be received no later than May 20. A simple majority of ballots received shall determine victory.
