Events, Publications, and Announcements for Jan. 13, 2017

Each week the Wyoming Medical Society receives a number of webinar, CME, and other conference opportunities which we share with our members without endorsement. This week’s list includes:

The Doctors Company released a post called, “Avoid the Pitfalls of Diagnostic Error,” which aims to help physicians learn why diagnostic errors occur and review case studies that illustrate the psychological biases that may undermine medical decision making.

The US Department of Health and Human Services Office of Regional Director, Region 10 (can you imagine the size of the business card charged with containing that title?) posted its Jan. 2017 newsletter. The newsletter offers and overview of the ACA Marketplace, as well as announcing the departure of Regional Director Kim Gillan.

The New York State Department of Health sent WMS a 2016-17 Injection Safety Newsletter to WMS. It offers tips on general injection safety during vaccine clinics, and unsafe injection stories from the field.
