CHEYENNE – The Wyoming Medical Society (WMS) announced today that its Board of Directors has named Medical Telecommunications a Preferred Vendor to WMS members.
Medical Telecommunications is a physician answering service located in Englewood, Colo. and owned by the Arapahoe-Douglas-Elbert Medical Society. The firm was established in 1975 and has long been a preferred vendor of the Colorado Medical Society. Medical TeleCommunications features a staff of 25 and currently is the preferred answering services for the majority of practices in the Denver market. Medical TeleCommunications features an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
The WMS’ Preferred Vendor program features companies interested in offering discounted products or services to WMS members in exchange for an endorsement from the WMS. WMS staff vets candidates for the program before being voted on by the WMS Board of Directors.
Medical TeleCommunications has three levels of service based on time purchased by the clinic. As part of its preferred vendor status, Medical TeleCommunications offers a $15-per-month discount for offices with a WMS member in it. There are no group discounts for offices with multiple members.
According to Medical TeleCommunications Executive Director Casey Davis, the firm excels due to its continuity. He said most of the senior staff of Medical TeleCommunications has been in-place for the last 10 years with the personnel director having been at the business since 1979. Most operators have five years or more of experience.
“Rarely do we have an applicant for this program which comes as highly recommended as Medical Telecommunications,” said Wyoming Medical Society Executive Director Sheila Bush. “Medical Telecommunications is physician-owned, which means it understands the needs of doctors when speaking to patients in a HIPPA-compliant manner and we welcome them aboard.”
