Noridian Looks for Physicians to Join CAC

Noridian is searching for Wyoming physicians interested in taking part on its Contractor Advisory Committee (CAC), which meets three times-a-year. The purpose of the CAC, as outlined in the Medicare Program Integrity Manual, is to provide:

  • A formal mechanism for health care providers in the state to be informed of and participate in the development of Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs), formerly known as Local Medical Review Policies (LMRPs), in an advisory capacity;
  • A mechanism to discuss and improve administrative policies that are within carrier discretion; and
  • A forum for information exchange between Carrier Medical Director and physicians.

Noridian is searching for physicians in a specific number of specialties. To see the list click here. Specialties where at least one new member is needed are highlighted yellow. The unhighlighted areas show where we could use an alternate member. Please remember, all new members need to be recommended by the State Medical Society or their Specialty Society.

For more information, contact Maggie Abraham at 701- 433-3408 or Maggie.Abraham@noridian.com. To make your interest known to the Wyoming Medical Society for recommendation, email info@wyomed.org.
